today we renewed his drivers license and got a copy of his driving record. he had a hard time passing the eye test...weird. the lady asked when the last time was he had his eyes checked. yeah, TWO WEEKS ago, and he's wearing his new glasses. i've decided they need new eye testing machines. dirty, old, not functioning properly. pretty sure the eye doctor's equipment is better. =)
his new suit is ready. we will pick it up on wednesday when i go to orem for summer library. he looks pretty sharp in it. we've got his shirts, belts, ties, tracking slacks, shoes, socks, umbrella, bug spray, sunscreen, luggage. we are putting a sewing kit and a letter writing kit together for him, and i need to write my letter to the mission president. whew!
anyway, we just have the little things to finish up before he's totally ready. he speaks this sunday in sacrament meeting on the topic "Trust in the Lord." guess that's what i will be doing for the next couple of years, more so than i have in the past. lots of changes in our family these next few months, almost all of us are facing new endeavors in the immediate future. colby on his mission, austyn entering high school, linzi entering junior high, me with my new school, britanee and ashlee with sweet new additions to their families. Trust in the Lord...
i think it's the machines at the dmv...

Nancy Kay here....Such great adventures you are all setting out on! Just pack your "bags" and trust in your Heavenly Father. It will be great to have family serving in our part of the vineyard.
