I can do hard things.  =)

The Mission home called today to see how things were going, and to let Colby know how excited they were for his arrival.  They asked about his bike, did we have on yet, and did we have the address of the mission home where we need to ship it.  We do have the bike (many thanks to that super wonderful "bike fairy" that purchased one for Colby and had it delivered to our doorstep a few Sunday's ago...) and I even have the correct address for the mission home.  =)  The young man I spoke with was very sweet, and let me know that they would take good care of him.  I don't doubt that they will, and that the Lord will look out for him, the hard part is just me letting go.  sniff, sniff...

Today Colby is at the Salt Lake temple going through a session with his dad, his grandma Haymond, and his cousins Kelsey and Clark.  I'm sure they will make a day of it, I'm glad he has the opportunity to go.  I went through his first aid kit that we put together for school last year, and it's in good shape.  He didn't need a thing out of it, and the medications haven't expired yet, so it's good to pack for the mission.  We just have a few little things to pick up, then we start packing and crossing stuff off the list so we know what we've packed.  I still need to mark everything with his name (didn't I do this when he went to preschool?) and then I think we are all set.
